FIC Report (Sokoto State) – The Senator representing Sokoto Central, Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako, has donated a fully furnished office complex to the Sokoto office of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), in a move aimed at promoting education and youth empowerment in the state.
The building was officially handed over to NABTEB’s Registrar, Professor Aminu Muhammad Aminu, on Saturday, 18th October 2025, by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who represented Senator Wammako at the ceremony.
Senator Wammako noted that the gesture aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s SMART Agenda, both of which prioritize human capital development, job creation, and access to quality education. He emphasized the critical role of technical and vocational education in driving national development, stressing that Nigeria’s future lies in the acquisition of practical skills that foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
In his remarks, NABTEB Registrar Professor Aminu Muhammad Aminu described the donation as a “historic and exemplary contribution” and commended Senator Wammako for his unwavering dedication to education and youth development. He noted that the new office complex would significantly improve administrative efficiency and enhance service delivery across the state.
The event was graced by several notable dignitaries, including Ambassador Sahabi Isa Gada and the Deputy Speakers of the Sokoto and Gombe State Houses of Assembly.
