FIC Report (Bauchi State) – Business leaders in Bauchi State have hailed president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as a lifeline for micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and a driver of business growth.
Malam Mustapha Shehu, Chairman of Muda Lawal Market Traders Association, made the commendation during a sensitisation campaign on the administration’s mid-term achievements on Wednesday in Bauchi.
He praised the presidential grants and loans scheme, tax reforms and salary increases, noting that they have spurred market expansion and boosted customer patronage.
“When salaries are paid, whether big or small, they circulate back in to the market”, he said, while urging effective implementation of policies to sustain the gains,” he said.
The Head of Centre, Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation Bauchi, Ibrahim Adamu Ladan, made the call during a sensitisation campaign on the midterm achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Ibrahim Ladan said the Renewed Hope Agenda is an impactful initiative, aiming to address decades of economic mismanagement and bring about sustainable growth.
He highlighted federal government reforms in taxation, security, education, and healthcare, noting the introduction of cheaper alternatives across sectors to ease the economic burden on citizens.
Director of the National Orientation Agency Bauchi, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, said the nationwide programme was designed to inform Nigerians of government interventions and encourage active participation in policies that aims to improve livelihoods.
Federal Inland Revenue Service representative Abdulkarim Abdulsalam explained the new new tax reforms, including exemptions for companies with annual turnovers below one hundred million naira and employees earning less than eight hundred thousand naira per year.
