FIC Report (Lagos State) – The sensitization campaign took place at the Alimosho LGA in Bada street today the 19th of August 2025.
The occasion was graced by the Alimosho LGA Chairman Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson who also doubled as the Chairman of the day’s occasion.
Accompanied by his vice Hon Adebisi Francis, also in attendance was Dr Turkur Adedimeji (NOA) as Special Guest of Honor, Mrs Adebayo Abimbola HOD Agric, Mrs Adekoya Abimbola HOD Health, Mr Yussufu-Olaleye Motolani R. HOD Education, Venerable Adewuyi S.A. CDC, Rev. Samuel Adegenu CAN Chairman, Alhj. Ibrahim Okuola League of Imam, Mr Idowu Ibrahim HOD Artisan (Alimosho).
In recognition were Deputy Director(NOA) Mr Oluyeni Cosmos and Comrade Gbenga Afolabi Chairman of NULGE.
The opening speech was made by the Head of Center Mrs Osilaja A.O. appreciating all the attendees and highlighting the achievements of the present administration. Enjoining all to key into them.
Briefly touching on what the President has achieved in the past two years on Agric, Health and education.
Mrs Ojiugo Okameme brought to limelight, the positive strides of the Federal Government on the Agric sector. Encouraging the attendees to key into the SMEDAN Initiative which the government rolled out for the public. The website for the above is WWW.SMEDAN.GOV.NG.
Dr Mrs Meghoma J touched on the availability of improved good health care services which was made possible through the intervention of the Federal Government in collaboration with the state government, subsidizing drugs and making the services more accessible and affordable.
And Finally, Mrs Dawodu Gloria brought to bear the Education loan NELFUND(Nigerian Educational Loan Fund) established by the Federal Govt. to give hope to Nigerian Students who desire to pursue higher education, which offers free interest loans, ensure equal access to quality education, foster healthy competition between Nigerian youths and the world.

After the presentations were done, questions were asked: Alhj. Salaudeen asked if the Education Loan is for the state Government University alone?
Pst. Rogho also asked if the Fed. Govt has any health Insurance Scheme for those , who are not Govt workers and finally, Mr Agbola Lanre Taiye asked why in the time past His daughter was not given the Education loan?
Mr Thaddeus responded that the government is working towards expanding health insurance coverage to reach more Nigerians, ensuring access to quality healthcare services. One of the initiatives is the CEMOC initiative, launched in April 2024, is a strategic pillar under President Bola Tinubu’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) mandate and the National Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (NHSRII).
In a determined push to reduce maternal mortality and fast-track access to emergency obstetric services, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, NHIA Maternal Initiative for Financing Access to Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care (CEMOC).
The initiative is aimed at reducing maternal mortality rate. The key component is don’t ask how much just save her life and later the payment will be dorted by the NHIA. Its also at driving a unified response to maternal health emergencies in Lagos.
The NHIA has also been expanded to allow individuals key into its packages. Individuals can now register and get subsidized healthcare services
Mrs Dawodu G. encouraged the students that, NELFUND is real and they should not relent in trying, most times it’s network distortions. It will surely go through.
The Alimosho LGA Chairman ‘Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson gave his speech to support what the present administration is doing in the various sectors as highly commendable and encouraged all to key in.
Same way, the Deputy Director (NOA) Mr Oluyeni Cosmos encouraged the attendees in the Yoruba dialect to ernestly key in, as to benefit.
The closing remark was given by Mrs Dimaka Chioma an Assistant Director in the federal information Centre, she appreciated all attendants.
The program came to an end with closing prayer said by The Chief Imam Alhaj. Ibrahim Okuola.
