Sokoto Government To Partner Hungary On Education, Health, Agriculture And Others

FIC Report (Sokoto State) – As part of efforts to end insecurity, improve education, agriculture, health care sector and youth development, Sokoto Government has expressed readiness to continue to partner and strengthened its relationship with the Government of Hungary.

The Sokoto State Governor, Ahamed Aliyu, stated this while receiving a high – powered delegation from Hungary led by the State Secretary and leader of delegation, Tristan Azbej, who were on visit to Sokoto State to strengthened the partnership and collaboration with the state Government in the areas of education, agriculture, health sector, youth development and tackle insecurity.

The State Governor, who acknowledged the contribution of the Hungarian Government in Sokoto State, said that his administration has provided over 140 vehicles to security agencies, restored financial assistance to security personnel and has also established a security outfit to assist the conventional security in fighting banditry in the State as they work in partnership.

In his remarks, the leader of the delegation and state Secretary from Hungary, Mr Tristan Azbej, stated that the Hungarian Government within the last five years have invested over $1million in the area of education, agriculture, health care sector and other interventions in Sokoto State.

In attendance were the Hungarian Ambassador to Nigeria, Lorand Endreffy, Deputy Ambassador, Kristof Kiristi, the Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Muhammad Idris Gobir, and Head of service, Suleiman Sarkin Fulani among others.
