FIC Report (Rivers State) – The Federal Ministry Information Rivers State held its South – South Mid Term Campaign with the theme; President Tinubu Administration’s mid term report.

The event took place at Federal Secretariat Aba Road, Port Harcourt Rivers State.

The programme which aimed at informing and educating the general members of the public about Federal government programmes and initiatives of Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Head of the Centre Mr Gabriel Obokuru, in his opening speech urged members of the public to avail themselves to any on- going transformative schemes of President Tinubu, adding that government has put in place different laudable initiative programmes to improve standards of living among the populace. It is left for People to key in and jettison the habit of doubting the genuity of these schemes.

Aldo speaking, the guest speakers Dr. Nsirim Helen, a principal information officer, highlighted the various federal government initiatives which includes: The Nigeria Educational Loan Funds, Livehood improvement family enterprises projects among others.

“All these initiatives are real and are accessable to everyone as bonafide citizens of Nigeria you can apply in person and you be surprised that the administration under incumbent President priorize the economic well being of grassroots,”she reaffirmed.

More so, The director and supervisor Information and Communication Technology Rivers State University and Representative of National coordinator of LIFE -ND. Professor Sunny Orike, and Dr. Jerus Uveghara respectively reiterated the positive impact of the federal government schemes in their respective fields . According to the Bello Godwin , a Medical Student of Rivers State University who benefits from NALfunds ‘ I learnt about the funds, I verified it, and applied now I am a beneficiary ” he claimed .

Mr Laren also narrated how Livehood family Enterprises Schemes has changed his status from unemployed to employer of labour, “my life has moved from Zero to Hero am a beneficiary of the divident of this administration,” he added.

The program brought into an end with a logical interactive section through which participants commended the efforts of federal government and thereby seeking for expansion of the programs and as well as create more awareness to the general public in order to attain the goals of the programs.
