It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that I received the news of the demise of the immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.
His demise is a great loss not only to his family and associates, but to Nigeria that he served with dedication and selflessness.
During his administration he demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the development and progress of Nigeria.
Nigeria has lost a statesman, a true patriot, leader, a man of principle and a man who demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development of our country.
His legacy of integrity, discipline, and commitment to the national development and visionary leadership style will forever be remembered.
I recognize the strides made under his administration in the creation of North East Development ( NEDC) to accelerate development. in states ravaged by the activities of insurgency.
On behalf of the Ministry of Regional Development and North East Development Commission (NEDC), I convey our heartfelt condolences to the family, Katsina state government, and people of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on the passing on of former President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
Nigeria will continue to appreciate his dedication to democracy, stability, and the unity of our country, as well as his unwavering commitment to the anti-corruption crusade, which endeared him to many Nigerians.
May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus to be his final abode and grant his immediate family, Associates, and Nigerians the fortitude to bear this great loss.Ameen Yaa Rabbi.
