9.Need to Increase Awareness of Birth Registration in Nigeria: Rep. Bashiru Dawodu:
Resolves to :(i) Urge the Federal, State and Local Governments as well as traditional and religious leaders to join in the sensitization of the public on the importance of birth registration;
(ii) Also urge the Federal Government to conduct a study on effective penalties for parents who fail to register the birth of their children;
(iii) Mandate the Committee on Population and Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values to ensure compliance. The motion was voted on and adopted as amended.
10.Need to Investigate the Alleged Disappearance of the Transit Buses Provided by the Federal Government for Transport Services within the Federal Capital Territory: Rep. Ikenna Elezieanya:
Resolves to: Mandate the Committee on Federal Capital Territory to investigate the alleged disappearance of transit buses provided by the Federal Government for Transport Services within the Federal Capital Territory to recover them and report back within three (3) weeks for further legislative action.
