FIC Report (Ondo State) – The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Ondo State Council, an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), hereby announces the suspension of the indefinite industrial action embarked upon by nurses across all state public health institutions.

This decision follows a series of negotiations with the Ondo State Government, which culminated in assurances and commitments to address our demands, including proper remuneration, welfare, conversion issues, and improved working conditions. In light of these developments, and in the spirit of goodwill, we have decided to give the government the benefit of the doubt to fulfill its promises.

We deeply appreciate the unwavering support, resilience, and solidarity demonstrated by our members during this challenging period. Your dedication to the cause has been instrumental in amplifying our collective voice.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the general public for their understanding, patience, and involvement throughout this period. Your support has been invaluable in driving constructive engagement towards resolving these issues.

In view of the above, all nurses under the employment of the Ondo State Government are hereby directed to resume duties at their respective posts from 8:00 AM on Tuesday, 4th February 2025.

While we suspend the strike, we remain vigilant and committed to ensuring that the government honors its commitments. We will not hesitate to take necessary actions should there be any breach of the agreements reached.

Signed
