The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Adeleye Adeoye has retired from service after 35 years of meritorious service to the nation,he expresses appreciation to the Government for availing him the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
Speaking on Friday, 7th February 2025, in his office during the signing off and handing over ceremony, Adeleye said: ” Today is a very remarkable day in the course of my service. I thank the Government for giving me the opportunity. As an Education Officer employed on Grade Level 8, I never dreamt of becoming a Permanent Secretary. It was just God who made it possible”.
He appreciated God Almighty for seeing him through the journey in service.
The out – going Permanent Secretary whose retirement took effect from today, Saturday 8th February 2025 following the attainment of the mandatory 35 years in service, handed over to the Director, Road Transport and Mass Transit Administration, Ibrahim Musa Omayie, who is the most senior Director in the Ministry.
A visibly elated Adeleye said it was a great honour for him to work in the Transport Ministry, pointing out that he enjoyed the support and cooperation of the entire staff.
He therefore, enjoined Management and staff to accord the Minister same unwavering support and collaboration, while carrying out their jobs diligently.
Responding, the Director Road Transport and Mass Transit Administration, Ibrahim Musa Omayie stated that the Permanent Secretary has left an indelible mark through his hard work, dedication humility, diligent, focused and unwavering commitment to excellence, adding that the Perm Sec would be called upon for assistance whenever the need arises.
“My prayer for you is that you will continue to flourish and live a well deserved new chapter in life”, Ibrahim Musa added.
