Dr. James David Lalu, the Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities has reiterated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is poised to take Nigeria on the course of progress.

The ES demonstrated his convictions today in the streets of Abuja when he led a group of Persons with disabilities to a protest at variance with the seemingly instigated protest against the present APC led Administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“We are here to show Nigerians how grateful the 35.5 million Persons with disabilities in Nigeria are to the APC led government; We must recall that the Act prohibiting the discrimination of persons with disabilities (2018) was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari who also established the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities” He stated.

Speaking further, Dr. Lalu also said that It was President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who signed the Instrument of Ratification of the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Africa, which was adopted by the Thirtieth Ordinary Session of the Assembly, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on the 29th January, 2018.

“On that occasion, Mr President formally declared that Nigeria had accepted the aforementioned Protocol and undertaken to faithfully perform and carry out the stipulations therein contained” the ES revealed.

However, the Executive Secretary stated that it was time Persons with Disabilities showed gratitude to the government of the day by supporting its polices.

“I enjoin every Nigerian to be patient with the present Administration, sometimes taking to the streets to protest could be counterproductive as hoodlums may take advantage of the situation and commit crimes; we must believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; it’s time we walked it like we talked it” he concluded.
