We Are Set To Receive President Tinubu – Nasarawa Govt.

FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu is scheduled for a one-day working visit to Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday.

The President, who will visit the state to commission landmark infrastructural accomplishments of the Abdullahi Sule-led government, is expected to touch down at the Usman Danfodio Airport, Kwandare.

Dr. Ibrahim Tanko, Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism in the state, disclosed this to journalists during a press briefing on Tuesday.

Dr. Tanko said as part of the present administration’s sixth year anniversary, Mr. Tinubu will commission the multi-billion naira Lafia flyover and underpass, state-of-the-art secretariat, newly reconstructed Shemdan Road and the handover of new operational vehicles to traditional rulers and security agencies in the state.

The information commissioner explained that as part of the one-day visit, agricultural machinery such as tractors would also be distributed to farmers to enhance the federal and state governments’ food security initiatives.

The President will meet with the state traditional council led by Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad l rtd at the Emir’s Palace and subsequently hold a townhall with critical stakeholders in the state at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall.

Dr. Tanko called on citizens to turn out en masse to welcome the President, urging them to be law-abiding.

Nasarawa Newsline reports that security measures have been beefed up across the state capital.

The Wednesday working visit is the President’s first official visit to the state after the 2023 general elections.

The state capital is wearing a new look as political bigwigs continue to decorate the city Centre with their various billboards and banners stunned with President Tinubu’s picture.
