ABUJA – (OHCSF Report) – The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation has reported that the activities of the Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo – Ita in the period from Tuesday 9th October, 2018 to 9th November 2018 has included visitation to the prototype of the proposed offices in the Ministries, Department and Agencies, commissioning of Adiabo Okultikang Beach Gully Erosion Control Works in Odukpani Local Government Area in Cross River State, among others.
The report issued from the Publicity Division in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation indicated that on Tuesday 9th October 2018, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita led the body of Federal Permanent Secretaries to the Project Management Office. Adding, the visit was to inspect a prototype of proposed offices in the Ministries, Department and Agencies. It further noted that the proposed offices are part of the effort to implement the 2017-2020 Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation plan.
“On Thursday, 11th of October 2018, the Head of Service was invited to the Commissioning of Adiabo Okultikang Beach Gully Erosion Control Works, Odukpani Local Government Area in Cross River State. She was also invited to the State House, Abuja by President Muhammadu Buhari as he received in audience the ‘Women in Management, Business & Public Service’ group, who paid a courtesy call on him,” the report explained.
“In the same vein, on Wednesday, 17th of October 2018, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation delivered an address at the 2018 Separate Meetings of the National Public Service Negotiating Councils (NPSNC) I, II & III with the theme: ‘Sustaining Industrial Harmony in the Public Sector – An Imperative for Achieving Federal Government’s Change Agenda for National Development’ which held at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Abuja.”
Itemising other engagements executed by Winifred Oyo-Ita, the report stated that on Monday, 22nd of October 2018, she met with the Ambassador of Rwanda, Stanislas Kamazi in her office. Adding, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) invited her to the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES24) with the theme: “Poverty to Prosperity – Making Governance and Institutions Work” which held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
In another development, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation on Thursday 25th of October 2018 met with the Chairman and members of ASCON Governing Board whilst being invited in an occasion by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Presidential Villa Abuja where he received the National President and officials of the National Council for Women Societies of Nigeria on Thursday 1st of November, 2018.
In line with her visitation activities, Winifred Oyo-Ita on Friday 9th of November, 2018 attended the funeral service of Pa Allison Akene Ayida, who is the former Secretary to the Federal Military Government and Head of the Federal Civil Service in ‘Our Saviours Church at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
