ABUJA (Min of Health Report) – The Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, has restated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in ensuring, that no part of the country would suffer any neglect owing to its geographical location or political consideration.
The Minister stated this at the commissioning of the Flood and Erosion Control Project, located at Lagely Local Government area of Oyo State, noting that, having such projects scattered all over the country was a demonstration of the sincerity of purpose of President Buhari towards entrenching justice, equity and fair play, to all and sundry.
According to him, the project, funded through the Ecological Fund office, would boost the economy of the Okeayo Community and its environs, as well as reduce the dangers to lives and properties associated with erosion and persistent flooding that was the experience within the community.
Speaking earlier, the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu, initiator of the project and several others within the district, urged the people to continue to support the APC administration as it is committed to reaching every nook and cranny of the country with dividends of democracy.
The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Fund office, Dr.Habibat Lawal, represented by a Deputy Director, in the Secretary to the Government of the Federation’s office, urged the community to own and care for the project to ensure that the huge resources invested by the Federal Government on the project does not go to waste.
