The Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement (DG-BPP), Mamman Ahmadu, FNIQS, says, there is hope for Nigeria, when everyone work in synergy for a common goal of moving the nation forward.
The DG made this statement during a meeting of the Senior Staff Committee (Pool)of the Bureau of Public Procurement for the consideration of results of the 2023 promotion examination for Procurement officers on SGL. 08 – 13.
Mamman Ahmadu, while welcoming the new Commissioner attached to the BPP, wished the new Chairman, FCSC, Professor Tunji Oloapa and the Commissioner a fulfilled tenure.
He said, all hands must be on deck for progress to occur. Adding that, the promoted officers must showcase their talents and give their best to the service, pointing out that, procurement sector is the basis for the economic growth of Nigeria. He said, those who could not make it would be encouraged and guided to excel, so they can contribute favourably to the service.
The new commissioner attached to BPP, Hon. Rufus N. Godwins, Commissioner representing Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers States, commended the DG for the services the office is rendering.
He pointed out that, for Civil Servants to excel, they must be disciplined in all ramifications;“This will lead to greater productivity in the service,”He said.
Hon. Rufus, presented to the DG, a book authored by him, titled: ‘Discipline of Civil Servants in Nigeria’.
At the meeting were members of the Senior Staff Committee (Pool) of the Bureau.
