FIC Report (Ondo State) – The governorship election in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State was conducted across 10 wards, comprising five wards in the Apoi area and five wards in the Arogbo Ijaw area. The Arogbo wards included Arogbo Ward 1, 2, and 3, along with Ukparamo Ward 1 and 2. Similarly, Apoi featured its own five wards.

Election Proceedings
In Arogbo Ward 1, 2, and 3, electoral materials, officers, and security personnel arrived at the polling units as scheduled by 8:00 a.m. The situation was the same in Ukparamo Ward 1 and 2, where electoral teams also arrived promptly, although they faced minor challenges during their journey.

In Apoi, electoral officers, materials, and security agents were present at the polling units by 8:00 a.m. as well. Voting commenced smoothly in most parts of Ese-Odo by 8:30 a.m. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and well-organized, with no reported incidents of violence, rigging, thuggery, or other forms of electoral malpractice at any of the polling units visited.

Voting and Turnout
Voters in Ese-Odo cast their ballots in a serene environment. Reports from various polling units indicated that the election was conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner. Mr. Desmond, a presiding officer in Ukparamo Ward 2, Unit 010 (Baptist Unit), confirmed that the voting process was peaceful and orderly, with no record of election-related violence. Similarly, Mr. Austin, stationed at Unit 011 (FACM Unit) in the same ward, noted that the election proceeded without incident and voter turnout was encouraging in many areas.

Conclusion of Voting
Voting officially concluded at 2:30 p.m., after which the counting of votes commenced promptly. The entire electoral process across the 10 wards in Arogbo Ijaw and Apoi was successful, allowing voters to express their choices without interference or intimidation.

Final Assessment
The governorship election in Ese-Odo Local Government Area was conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner, ensuring that voters were able to make their selections freely and fairly.
