New Ekiti CP Assumes Duty, Promises Enhanced Security

FIC Report (Ekiti State) – The newly deployed Commissioner of Police to Ekiti State, CP Joseph Eribo has officially assumed office.

Eribo took over from CP Adewale Adeniran who was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police.

On his arrival, Eribo was received by AIG Adeniran who wished him well and called on the Command to extend the love they showed him to the new CP.

The new CP inspected the guard of honour with a call on officers and men of the Command to remain combatant towards sustaining the peace of the State.

Eribo promised to come up with initiatives and modern techniques that would assist in the fight against crime in the State.

Meanwhile, the Rapid Response Squad of the Ekiti State Police Command raided the popular Atikankan Area of Ado-Ekiti and arrested criminal suspects numbering about six.

During the operation which lasted almost an hour, the officers penetrated all the suspected hideouts where the criminals could be hiding.

Traders and passersby came out in large number to catch a glimpse of the event.

Some of the people around the area commended the RRS team for displaying professionalism during the operation.

They called on the police to ensure proper investigation of the suspects and ensure that those found guilty face the full wrath of the law.
