FGSHLB Inaugurates 2025 Procurement Planning Committee

The Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board inaugurates its 2025 Procurement Planning Committee to develop a comprehensive procurement plan to align with the Board’s strategic objectives.

The committee was formally inaugurated in Abuja on Wednesday, 12th March 2025, by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Hajiya Salamatu Ahmed.

The Procurement Planning Committee is responsible for developing and implementing the board’s procurement plan for the 2025 fiscal year. The committee’s primary objective is to ensure that the Board’s procurement processes are transparent, efficient, and in compliance with the Public Procurement Act, 2007.

The committee is comprised of representatives from all the departments and units within the Board. The membership includes:

  • Musa Kadiri Yakubu, Director, Finance and Accounts, (Chairman and Representative of the Executive Secretary)

. Mohammed Umar, Secretary (Head of Procurement Department)

. Mrs Monica Chimara Igwe, Member (Director, Administration)

  • Festus Yayock Boman, Member (Director, ICT)
  • Hajiya Isah Adama, Member (Deputy Director, Operations)
  • Murtala Musa, Member (Head, Internal Audit)
  • Obiechina Ngozi, Member (Head, Information and Public Relations)
  • Bar. Uyiosa Eroje-Yusuf, Member (Head, Legal Services)

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Executive Secretary of the Board, represented by Musa Yakubu, Director, Finance and Accounts, reiterated the importance of the Procurement Planning Committee in ensuring the effective management of the Board’s resources. She charged the committee to develop a comprehensive procurement plan that aligns with the Board’s strategic objectives and promotes transparency, accountability, and value for money.

The 2025 Procurement Planning Committee is expected to commence its work immediately and submit its procurement plan to the board for approval.
