The agency’s CEO, Dr. Folakemi Animashaun, emphasized the importance of knowing one’s HIV status, especially among the active working population, during the event held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Dr. Animashaun highlighted the significance of collective responsibility for health and encouraged workers to support initiatives promoting health education, prevention, and access to care. She commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to workers’ welfare and sustainable healthcare initiatives.
As part of the celebration, LSACA provided free HIV testing and counseling services, ensuring no one is left behind in HIV management and control. Dr. Animashaun urged employers to prioritize employee health and welfare, fostering a supportive work environment.
The agency remains committed to managing and controlling HIV, promoting health awareness, and commending healthcare professionals and partners for their dedication. Dr. Animashaun encouraged everyone to utilize the state’s health initiatives and access free HIV testing and counseling services beyond the Workers’ Day celebration.
