FIC Report (Kaduna State) – The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has stated that President Ahmed Tinubu policies have promoted concrete achievements in critical areas in Kaduna
The Minister stated this while presenting the Mid-term Achievements of the Tinubu Administration to the people of State.
The Minister was represented by Zonal Director Federal Information Resource Centre Kaduna, Hajiya Rabi Ahmed Rufai.
Malagi listed some of the achievements in Kaduna to include infrastructure development, Agriculture, and access to the National Economic and Empowerment Development Fund (NELFUND).
He said this gathering serves as a platform to inform the public about the progress made by the Tinubu-led administration, especially in relation to the good people in the State.
Mohammed mentioned the Tinubu administration has made significant headway in infrastructure, with the aim of improving connectivity and promoting economic integration.
Idris noted that there is development of rural and urban infrastructure, such as feeder roads and others .
Minister said ,the government has also rehabilitated and expanded some major roads across the state the Abuja –kaduna–kano road, which has greatly enhanced transportation and boost Economy in the region .
He also explained there is construction of strategic road linking Kaduna and Plateau that many villages benefited and fostering regional cohesion.
Idris stated that Agriculture has been a strategic focus of the administration, aimed at ensuring food security and empowering rural communities.
He noted that there was 1.6 billion support package for ginger Farmers in Kaduna State amongst others which offers support and extension services to farmers to improve productivity.
He said the government established the Agricultural Processing Zone, creating jobs and strengthening agricultural value chains.
Mohammed further said there is also provision of agricultural loans and grants, helping farmers access funding, inputs, and machinery for greater efficiency.
In the area of education, Idris pointed out that students have access to NELFUND Loan, adding that the Tinubu administration has broadened the scope of economic opportunities.
He also further explained selected higher Institution that benefited with the Scheme such as Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU),Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY), Kaduna State University (KASU), Federal Collage of Education Zaria (FCE) Are among that enjoyed NELFUND programmed in the State .
Also speaking, the Resource Person Aliyu mijinyawa , a Economic and Public Affairs Analyst commended Tinubu’s efforts in addressing various challenges facing the country.
Aliyu listed some of the challenges to include economic growth, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Mijinyawa said one of the administration’s most notable achievements is maintaining uninterrupted academic activity in Nigerian universities.
He also commended Tinubu for allocating over ₦250 billion to revamp primary healthcare centres nationwide.
The Analyst also observed that there is improvement in Nigeria’s electricity, adding that the government has added over 1,500 megawatts to Nigeria’s electricity grid in two years.
Aliyu however appealed to the administration to look into the nation’s civil service and increase workers salary.
The Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani who served as Special Guest of HONOUR represented by the Honourable Commissioner of Information read by his Director Administration Mr. Iliyasu Marcus Kachiro in his remarks commended the Minister for the sensitization of citizens on the two-year milestone achievement.
Iliyasu pointed out that a lot of citizens lack an indepth knowledge of what the government is doing.
Kachiro appreciate the efforts of the President Bola Ahmed TINUBU Administrations for meeting the people Demand at the time their needed.
Also the event have attendance of the Stakeholders from JNI and CAN representative and also Market Women,paramilitary, (FRSC,Immigration and CSO), physical Challenges (Blind and Cripples),Traditional Rulers (village Head and ward Head),Student and Youth Leaders .
