FIC Report (Osun State) – As part of ongoing sensitization programs of the Federal government in the south west states, the federal information Centre Osogbo as part of their major mandate embark on rally to major streets within osogbo, particularly market areas with posters and hand bills to sensitize the people of the state on the following program such as NELFUND loans for students in government tertiary institutions and also provisions of incentives in agriculture and health sector
Some of the stakeholders interviewed during the rally confirmed some of this laudable program while others feel the government need to do more in the area of publicity for more awareness.
In continuation of the program for second day, the state office invited various stakeholders from different unions and associations among them are civil societies, students union, market women, the widows, transport union, religious organizations, youth corpers and many others.
The ceremony which took place at NUJ Press Centre in Osogbo also attracted the representative of NOA director in the state, Chairman Forum of Heads Of Federal establishments in the state, chairman Christian Association among others.
The guest speaker from state polytechnic Iree Osun state Mr Lekan Adegboye highlighted these interventions to the Audience with evidence and this really go a long way to create more awareness for the participants.
After this many questions were raised by the participants in the hall and some of their questions was attended to.
Some of participants advised the federal government to organize this type of programs regularly and not only in the state capital but to also ensure that such awareness is also carry out in communities in the rural areas.
