FIC Report (Abuja) – An inter-ministerial press briefing on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to commemorate the 65th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria, was today held at the National Press Centre, Abuja.
The Chief Host of the ceremony, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, highlighted the achievements of the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across various sectors of the nation’s democratic journey. He explained that the ceremony was designed to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary while reflecting on progress made so far.
In his address, the Special Guest of Honour, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, outlined the numerous achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He noted that the ceremony was not only a celebration of the day but also a reminder to emulate the spirit of Nigeria’s founding fathers.
The SGF observed that Nigeria has passed through different economic challenges and called on all Nigerians to join hands in building the nation, irrespective of geopolitical differences. He urged citizens to complement the efforts of the current administration in its transformation agenda to take Nigeria to the promised land.
Senator Akume also called on Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute their quota towards the success of the government’s economic reforms, which he said have already restored investor confidence and yielded positive results—a clear testimony to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
He further saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold agenda of nation-building and commended the media for their role in shaping positive narratives for a better and stronger Nigeria
