FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated two distinguished Kano-born lawyers, Barr. Aminu Sani Gadanya and Barr. Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude, for their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the investiture took place Monday at the Supreme Court, Abuja.
Governor Yusuf was represented by his Special Adviser on Justice and Constitutional Matters, Barr. Aminu Hussain, who conveyed the governor’s goodwill message to the new SANs.
Governor Yusuf described the honour as a testament to Kano’s growing excellence in the legal profession and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to producing more accomplished lawyers.
He noted that with the establishment of the Faculty of Law at Northeast University, Kano, the state is uniquely positioned to compete favourably with its peers in legal education and practice.
The governor also reiterated his government’s continued support for young lawyers in the state to ensure they attain the highest professional heights and bring pride to Kano.
