The President’s visit includes meetings with key leaders, the commissioning of projects, and the unveiling of the remodeled National Theatre in Lagos, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
During his visit, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s progress and urged citizens to believe in the nation’s future and cultural heritage. He highlighted the importance of projecting a positive image of Nigeria, stating, “Stop talking about Nigeria in ill, negative tones. This is a country of very proud people.”
The President’s activities in Lagos include a meeting with private sector leaders to discuss Nigeria’s economic growth and development, commissioning projects, including the newly renovated National Theatre.
