NSCDC Abia Command Officer Shines at 1st Abia Para Badminton International 2025

FIC Report (Abia State) – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, has reason to celebrate as Chief Corps Assistant (CCA) Chinyere Okoro, an officer attached to the Sports Unit, emerged silver medal winner at the prestigious 1st Abia Para Badminton International 2025 held in Umuahia, Abia State.

The event, which took place from 30th September to 5th October 2025, brought together talented para-athletes from various parts of the country, showcasing resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship

CCA Chinyere Okoro secured a silver medal in her category, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

Her performance brought honour not only to herself but also to the NSCDC Abia State Command, highlighting the corps’ emphasis on promoting inclusivity, physical fitness, and excellence.

Following her victory, CCA Okoro paid a visit to State Commandant, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, presenting her silver medal.

Commandant Aderemi congratulated CCA Okoro, lauding her achievement as a reflection of dedication, hard work, and the NSCDC’s drive to nurture talent among its personnel.

CCA Okoro’s silver medal win at the 1st Abia Para Badminton International 2025 underscores the NSCDC Abia State Command’s commitment to excellence in sports and its support for officers pursuing athletic excellence.
