In a significant step toward advancing digital transformation in the public sector, the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy has successfully deployed the official GovMail platform, providing all staff members with secure, standardized .gov.ng email addresses for formal government communication.
The deployment, led by the Ministry’s ICT Department, underscores the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening internal communication, promoting transparency, and aligning with federal ICT and e-Government standards.
Declaring the training session open on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, the Deputy Director of ICT, Mr. Muhammed S. Koro, described the initiative as a milestone in the Ministry’s journey toward digital excellence.

Over 350 staff members from various departments participated in the training.

Following the successful deployment, all staff have been encouraged to use GovMail exclusively for official correspondence. The ICT Department will continue to provide technical support, while plans are underway to integrate GovMail with the Ministry’s upcoming web portal and AI-powered help desk.
Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Zainab, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), commended the ICT team for the successful rollout. She urged all staff to embrace the new platform as a tool for improved efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
