
The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote integrity and build public trust in public procurement processes.
The partnership aims to foster a collaborative relationship between the two agencies, leveraging their expertise to ensure transparency and accountability in government procurement practices.
BPP Director-General, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, emphasised that the MoU is a step towards reducing wastages and misuse of public funds, and promoting efficient service delivery.
The partnership is expected to enhance the capacity of BPP and CIFCFIN to detect and prevent fraudulent activities in public procurement, and to promote a culture of transparency and accountability in government agencies.
The President of CIFCFIN, Dr. Yerima Iliyasu Buba Gashinbaki, commended BPP for its efforts in repositioning the procurement sector and promoting transparency and accountability.
He said that CIFCFIN would provide unwavering support to BPP in implementing the MoU and promoting integrity in public procurement practices.
