Nigeria Congratulates Central African Republic On Its Independence Anniversary

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extends warm congratulations to Her Excellency, Sylvie Baïpo-Témon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic (CAR), and to the Government and people of the Central African Republic on the historic occasion of the country’s 67th Republic Day Anniversary.

As Nigeria joins in celebrating this significant milestone, we reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, good governance, mutual respect and the enduring bonds of African brotherhood.

Nigeria and the Central African Republic continue to maintain strong diplomatic relations, cooperating on political dialogue, regional and joint initiatives within the African Union, while Nigeria further support the Central African Republic through capacity-building programmes, modest trade relations, and humanitarian assistance aimed at strengthening governance, economic development, and social resilience. Both countries also collaborate in multilateral forums, including the nited Nations, to advance regional stability, development, and shared strategic interests.

On this notable anniversary, Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to strengthening these important relations, expanding avenues of mutual cooperation, and partnering with the Central African Republic to confront regional and global challenges. Nigeria also conveys its sincere goodwill to the Government and people of the Central African Republic, expressing hopes for enduring peace, economic progress, and collective prosperity.
