FIC Report (Lagos State) – President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos after concluding a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom. The president landed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at around 1:15 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, and was received by top government officials, including Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila.

During his UK visit, President Tinubu met with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle, where he was hosted to a state banquet. He also held bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, resulting in agreements, including a £746 million deal to refurbish two major ports in Lagos.

Tinubu stated that Nigeria’s economy had exited the ‘dark tunnel’ of uncertainty and urged Nigerians to embrace the positives about their country.

President Tinubu will spend the next two days in Lagos, observing the Eid-el-Fitr celebration with Muslim faithful. His schedule includes praying at the Eid prayer ground of the Dodan Barracks on Friday morning
