Nasarawa State Government Commenced Distribution Of NG-Cares, Fadama Program, Fertilizer/Farm Inputs To Farmers

FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – Nasarawa state Government has commence the distribution of fertilizer and farm inputs under the NG-Cares agricultural program to 2,500 small scale farmers as part of to effort to complement president Bola Ahmed Tinubu food sufficiency and enhance food Security in the country.

Governor Sule while flagging of the distribution of the fertilizer and the farm inputs held at the Government house Lafia recently, explained thatsince inception of his administration he had accord premium to Agriculture to enhance food sufficiency across the state.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who was represented by the state commissioner for finance Haj. Munirat Abdullahi noted that his administration has particular interest in Agriculture and will continue to supportAgricultural initiatives through the provision of fertilizers and other inputs to farmers to boost food production and enhance food sufficiency.

Governor Sule while Commending the Nigeria community action for resilience and economic stimulus NGcares for Sustaining it’s Commitment to supporting local farmers with fertilizer and farm inputs, noted that the initiative was inline with his administration’s posture aimed at enhancing food production and addressing hunger in the country.

On his part, the Nationa Coordinator NG-Cares Fadama Program apart from acknowledging the effort of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration towards supportingrural farmers in the state, also explained that the distribution of the fertilizer and farm inputs was timely as the rainy season has commenced calling on the beneficiaries to use the commodities judicously.

The state coordinator Nigeria community action for resilience and economic stimulus NG-Cares, Hon Umar Dahiru stated that over nine hundred farmers benefited from the first phase of the Fadama NG-Cares Programme in the state noting that more intervention is underway soon.

Some beneficiaries Zhegili Bala and Habiba Ibrahim thanked the state Government and the NGcares for the timely intervention and promised to use the commodities to enhance food production.
