FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – The Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has re-emphasised his administration’s unrelenting commitment and efforts to combat insecurity in the Ebonyi State.
Governor Nwifuru stated this on Friday at the his office, while commissioning and handing over to security chiefs Thirty-one operational vehicles as part of activities to mark this year’s democracy day.
According to the Governor, who noted the selfless services of both retired and serving security chiefs, commended them for fighting crime in the state using both technical and digital approach.
He further disclosed that his administration has procured drones and other security equipment with huge amount of money, including the operational vehicles to facilitate their operations in the state.
“These are the main source of our own way of combating security. And I give thanks to the professionals who have displayed a lot of integrity in handling most of this equipment today. And I have that confidence that this vehicle will be handled the way most of the equipment given to the security agencies are being handled, that up till today they are very much effective, he said.
The governor further explained that his administration has recorded tremendous infrastructural development, especially in the rural areas ,thereby reducing rural-urban migration.
