FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – The Faculty of Health Engineering, David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences, Uburu, has recorded a huge success with its One-Day Academic Workshop held at the Senate Chambers.
The med Building Research Capacity with Integrity and Ethics, the workshop was described by participants as a timely conversation, knowledge-rich, and impactful. It drew academics, researchers, and postgraduate students who engaged in practical, forward-looking sessions on ethical scholarship and scholarly publishing.
The workshop was hosted by Engr. Prof. Ogbonnaya Chukwu, Dean, Faculty of Health Engineering is on record for his strong commitment to building a research culture anchored on integrity, competence and global visibility at DUFUHS. Management conveyed his full support for initiatives that strengthen staff capacity and institutional research output.
The workshop delivered three expert-led focus areas that equipped participants with tools for competitive research and responsible publishing.
Prof. Clementina D. Igwebuike-Ossi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, DUFUHS, facilitated Sub-Theme 2 on Research Ethics and Institutional Requirements for Academic Growth With her extensive academic and administrative expertise, the DVC Academic broke down the principles of ethical research, the consequences of research misconduct, and the general criteria for academic promotions. Participants described the session as firm, clear, and essential for career progression.
The Faculty of Health Engineering reaffirms its commitment to capacity-building initiatives that promote academic excellence, research integrity, and institutional visibility.
