He made this known on Wednesday 22nd May, 2019 after the last weekly State Executive Council meeting, where he commended his commissioners for their uprightness and commitment to their duties in the last four years.

Abdullahi Ganduje also commended his deputy, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who came in mid-way into the administration but contributed immensely towards the development of the state.

He also commended the Head of Service, Alhaji Mohammed Auwal Na’iya, for facilitating good working relationship between the government and workers.

On the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries, Governor Ganduje explained that government is putting in place procedures that will discourage business as usual in the selection process. He pointed out that government would consider the inclusion of professionals in the appointment of next set of Permanent Secretaries whereby short listed applicants would go through some test and those who scaled through would be appointed on provisional period for six months before they would be confirmed.
