Federal Road Safety Corps deploys 1,500 Personnel in Kano

FIC Report (Kano State) – The Kano state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 1, 500 personnel to ensure effective traffic management throughout yuletide period in the state.

A statement by the sector commander Zubairu Mato indicate that the command had also deploy 21 petrol vehicles, two ambulance a heavy duty two truck to clear obstruction on the highways in the state with target of zero fatality within the period.

The statement partly read, “The operation is aimed at ensuring free flow of traffic along Kano to Zaria Highway and Kano to Wudil and Takai roads because of the heavy traffic density along the routes. It will also minimize road crashes through aggressive enforcement of traffic laws and regulation including mobile courts deployment for speedy sanctioning of traffic rules violators.”

The commander added that the command had energized its 24 – hours standby teams for prompt rescue and recovery services, explaining that the operation Zero tolerance 2019 had commenced nationwide from 15th December, 2019 and would last up to January 19th 2020.
