FIC Report (Abia State) – The Deputy Governor Chief Ikechukwu Emetu has made full assurance of government commitment to safeguard lives and property of its citizens at the upcoming Aba mega trade fair.
Chief Emetu stated this during a meeting with the members of the planning committee of the Aba International Trade Fair 2024 in Umuahia the state Capital.
The Deputy Governor noted that Abia as an SME Hub is safe for business and encouraged all to participate effectively during the event, holding from the 28/11/2024 to 7/12/2024 at the Aba Mega Mall along Enugu -Aba -Port Harcourt Express Way, Osisioma LGA.
Chief Emetu also charged all security Agencies in the state to ensure adequate security at the venue of the Trade Fair as well as every other part of the state.
The Deputy Governor promised to provide all necessary support to the committee through the state government led by Dr. Alex Otti to enable them represent the New Abia properly.
Responding, the Chairman, planning committee and also the SA to the governor on Trade and Investment, Mr. Nwaka Inem while enumerating the challenges being encountered by the planning committee, pleaded with the state government to assist them adequately to enable them put in place all the needed logistics before the commencement of the event.
In an interview, the Vice President Trade and Investment Aba Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) Mr. Cletus Ogbonna encouraged individuals, corporate organizations among others to participate and take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their businesses and also network with the entire world.
The event attracted the presence of the Acting DG Abia State Orientation Agency (ABSOA) Mrs. Ure Abazie, CSO to the Governor CSP Kenneth Nwosu among others.
