The NC/CEO of AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, HE. Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi has assured the Media of his commitment to working with them in ensuring that the transformative Programmes and activities of his administration for the Agency are adequately covered and reported, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The NC/CEO said this at his inaugural Press Briefing with the Media in Abuja on Tuesday, 17th January, 2025.
“As we implement programs under AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria, our actions are deeply aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by Mr. President. This agenda emphasizes governance, empowerment, and inclusivity, echoing our belief that development must reach every corner of Nigeria to create lasting impact.
Hon. Abdullahi while reeling out the achievements of the Agency, pledged his commitment to consolidate on the achievement made, he called for partnership from the Media as critical stakeholders of the Agency.
“The press is more than an observer. it is an active partner in progress. Your role in shaping narratives, holding institutions accountable, and connecting citizens with governance cannot be overstated. Today, I extend my hand in partnership. AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria is committed to working with you” Hon. Abdullahi reaffirms.
The CEO expressed confidence that he is ready to confront any challenges towards achieving his developmental plan for the Agency and country with the support of the Media.
“We acknowledge that challenges remain yet, we are undeterred. With strong partnerships, innovation, and commitment, we are turning these challenges into opportunities”.
Hon. Abdullahi gave a hint that the Agency will soon come up with plans to light up over a million houses with clean energy for rural populace, noting that his administration is also coming up with a robust plan to scale up funding for the Agency.
The Media parley offered the CEO the opportunity to familiarize himself with Media organisations covering the Agency while the media leverage on the opportunity to know the plans and direction of the New CEO.
