The Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice (SGF), Mr. Dayo Apata SAN has demonstrated confidence in the ongoing COVID-19 Vaccination Programme of the Federal Government by publicly taking the vaccine. He did this on 15th April, 2021 at the Flag-off of the Programme in the Ministry.
The Deputy Director (Training & Staff Welfare), Mr. Baidi Mohammed Gajo had earlier issued a circular of behalf of the Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice (SGF), informing members of staff that officials of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) would be in Ministry to administer the mandatory Covid-19 Vaccine on all staff of the Ministry.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Programme is expected to commence 10:00 am daily and would run on Thursday 15th, Friday 16th, and Monday 19th of April, 2021 at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium.
The Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abuabakar Malami SAN, the Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice and all officers on Salary Grade Levels 15 – 17 are expected to take the shot on the first day of the Vaccination Programme. (Thursday)
Other officers on Grade Level 10 – 14 would take their turn on Day 2 (Friday) while those on Grade Levels 03 – 09 would take theirs on day 3 (Monday) of the programme.
Mr. Gajo further urged all members of staff of the Ministry to ensure that they did not fail to make themselves available for the vaccination.
In similar vein, the Chairman of Law Officers Association of Nigeria (LOAN) and Deputy Director, Department of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Mr. Yusuf Abdullahi also emphasized that the vaccine is safe and free. He called on members of staff to avail themselves of the opportunity.
