FIC Report (Abia State) – Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has received his Bauchi State Counterpart and PDP Presidential Aspirant, Senator Bala Mohammed.
Governor Mohammed came to interact with leaders and delegates of the party in the State towards his aspiration to emerge the flagbearer of the party in the forthcoming Presidential Elections.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu described Governor Bala Mohammed as his friend and brother whose experience has remained a guiding light in their activities at the Governors’ Forum. He assured him that the party in the State will give every aspirant a level playing field and wished him the best and journey mercies in his movements across the country. Governor Ikpeazu noted clearly that if Governor Bala becomes the next Nigerian President, our country will be better for it.
Earlier, Governor Bala Mohammed told the Governor and Members of the party that he was in the State as part of his consultative visits to States across the country in his bid to emerge the Presidential Candidate of the PDP.
He described himself as a highly experienced public servant and detribalized Nigerian who moved from the Directorate Cadre in the Federal Civil Service to win elections into the Senate and later, as Minister of the FCT and currently as Governor of Bauchi State.
State Party Chairman, Rt Hon Asiforo Okere and Members of the State Working Committee of the Party, some Members of the State Executive Council, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe and some other Leaders of the Party were present at the meeting.
