
In furtherance of the Board’s commitment to the provision of affordable and quality housing for public servants and other eligible beneficiaries, building approval has been granted for the commencement of arrangements towards the development of the proposed housing estate at Apo- Wasa, Federal Capital Territory.
The Executive Secretary, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB), Hajia Salamatu Ladi Ahmed, today, June 18, 2026, inaugurates a committee to examine,evaluate, and recommend qualified private estate developers for participation in the development of the proposed estate.
According to her, “the committee shall ensure that the selection process is transparent,competitive and aligned with the objectives of the Board and applicable to government regulations.
The terms of reference given to the committee include amongst others, to develop criteria and guidelines for the selection of private estate developers for the Wasa Housing Estate project; review Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and other relevant submissions from prospective developers; recommend suitable developer(s) for partnership in the development of the Wasa Housing Estate; and submit a comprehensive report containing findings,observations, and recommendations to management for consideration.
Hajia Salamatu Ahmed stressed that the management appreciates members’ willingness to serve and looks forward to receiving a comprehensive report that will facilitate the timely development of the Wasa Housing Estate.
Responding on behalf of the committee, the Committee Chairman, Arc. Ibrahim Anas Aliyu thanked the management for the opportunity given to them to serve, and he called on the committee members to bring their expertise and experience to bear in ensuring the successful execution of this important assignment.

The Committee is expected to complete its assignment and submit its report within [14] days from the date of inauguration.
