The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has announced the commencement of a comprehensive Post-Deployment Verification Exercise for Procurement Officers on Salary Grade Levels 15–17 who were recently redeployed across Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The exercise is pursuant to the Bureau’s circular, with Ref. No. BPP/DG/2026/M/20 dated 23rd March, 2026 on the Deployment of Procurement Officers on Salary Grade Levels 15-17 in the Federal Civil Service.

The physical verification exercise will commence on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026. According to the Bureau, the exercise is designed to confirm the physical assumption of duties by all recently redeployed Procurement Officers to their new posts in various MDAs. This is part of BPP’s effort to strengthen institutional capacity, ensure proper placement of professional cadres, and enhance compliance with the Public Procurement Act, 2007.

All concerned Procurement Officers on SGL 15–17 are strictly required to have completed the handing-over and taking-over process of their schedules before the commencement of the verification exercise.

Heads of Procurement Units and Accounting Officers of MDAs are enjoined to ensure full cooperation with the verification team and to bring the content of the circular to the immediate attention of all affected.

The Director-General of the Bureau, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, FCIPS, reiterated BPP’s commitment to building a professional, accountable, and efficient procurement system in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President.

He noted that proper deployment and verification of the professional cadre is critical to achieving transparency, value for money, and integrity in public procurement nationwide.

For further information, affected officers and MDAs may contact the Head of Administration at the Bureau.
