Collaboration: Federal Information Centre Lagos, Discusses Government Initiatives On Radio Nigeria In the wake of Federal Government pivotal Sensitization programme in Lagos

On Oct. 2, 2024, Federal Information Centre, Lagos (FIC Lagos) was invited to Radio Nigeria’s popular personality programme, “Guest of the Moment,” presented by Niran Odufayo to discuss the Federal Government’s 11 initiatives aimed at improving living conditions for Nigerians. The programme aired live at 1 p.m. on Radio One 103.5 and Metro FM 97.7 on the stable of Radio Nigeria.

A delegation of five representatives from the centre, led by Head of Centre Ojo E.K., appeared on the show to highlight the significance of these intervention programmes, particularly in the wake of the recent fuel subsidy removal, which has sparked widespread concern among citizens.

They focused on how far and to what extent the Federal Ministry Of Information in Lagos has been able to disseminate the policies of government to the masses, feedbacks and plans to further spread the information

During the broadcast, the FIC team elaborated on the government’s efforts to alleviate the economic impact on the public, urging Lagos residents to take advantage of the available initiatives. Despite the limited time allocated for the discussion, the team provided clear and insightful explanations.

The success of the programme prompted the station to express interest in future collaborations, with promises of another invitation for the centre to return for more detailed discussions.
