Sequel to the successful completion of the 2021 promotion and evaluation examination exercise conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) for Directorate grade levels 14 to 15, 15 to 16 and 16 to 17 in the Federal Civil Service; The Commission has released the results of all successful candidates in the above stated cadre.
While congratulating the new Directorate Officers on their promotion, the Hon. Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission, Dr. Tukur Bello Ingawa,OON mni stated that the Commission will consistently ensure transparency, merit and due process in the conduct of the exercise; in line with the vision of President Muhammadu Buhari to bequeath a world class civil service to the nation.
Dr. Ingawa admonished those Officers who did not get promoted not to allow it affect their morale and commitment to efficient service delivery to Nigerians: as promotion, according to him, “is in the Hands of God’’.
He further stated that The Commission has approved the promotion of 356 (nos.) Officers from the ranks of Deputy Director (SGL.16) to substantive Director (SGL. 17) across the MDAs, while 924 (nos) were promoted to the ranks of Deputy Director (SGL. 16) and 1,112 to Assistant Director (SGL.15); based on available vacancies; following their exceptional performance and, satisfying all other extant promotion criteria in the Federal Civil Service.
While restating the unflinching commitment of The Commission to implement its mandates towards ensuring efficient and effective service delivery; Dr. Ingawa affirmed that The Commission will not rest on its oars; and in this spirit, the Commission will commence in earnest the process of 2022 promotion exercise for all eligible Officers in the Directorate Levels of the Federal Civil Service.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mrs. Mary Ogbe called on the newly promoted Directors in the Federal Civil Service Commission to see their new ranks as a call to higher responsibility. She therefore urged them to display the highest level of accountability and commitment as they settle down in their respective new offices with a view to ensuring full implementation of government policies, projects and programmes in the work place.
