FIC Report (Edo State) – Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has been commended on the pace of work and the standard of facilities at the newly rebuilt Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium ahead of the 20th edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF).
The Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare made this commendation after inspecting the progress of work at the stadium. He was accompanied on the inspection tour by Governor Godwin Obaseki and  his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu.
He noted that the stadium is 90 per cent ready for the NSF, and this shows clearly that there has been consistent work ongoing, as well as  commitment from the governor and his deputy to ensure that the stadium is completed within record time.
In his remarks, Governor Obaseki expressed optimism that the stadium would be 100 per cent ready for the games by the first week of March, and every facility would be test run before the game commences.
