FIC Report (Sokoto State) – The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment towards improving youth development.
The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, stated this when he paid a courtesy visit on the Sokoto State Governor, at Government House Sokoto, on Sunday, 9th March, 2025.
The Minister, who was accompanied by Sheyi Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasized on the importance of youth – focused initiations, including the think -thank discussions on national development.
Olawande, stated that, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, share a common vision for youth advancement, ensuring that resources allocated to Sokoto State are being effectively utilized. He also commended the introduction of the students loan scheme, describing it as landmark to support Nigerian students.
He further assured that, more youth-centred programmes are on the way, with Sokoto State set to benefit from the key initiative in housing, agriculture and internship programmes. He stated that Federal Government is working towards creating an enabling environment where young Nigerians can thrive.
In his remarks, the Sokoto State Governor, Ahamed Aliyu, described the visit as a testament to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration’s dedication to youth empowerment.
He commended Seyi Tinubu, who is the founder of the Renewed Hope Youth Empowerment Initiative (RHYEI), for his contribution to political and economic development, calling him to extend his programme.
