Gombe State Due Process Bonds With Bureau Of Public Procurement (BPP) To Enhance Procurement System

The Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, welcomed the DG, Gombe State Due Process, who is on a working visit in his office here in Abuja.

The DG, Gombe State Due Process stated that, the courtesy visit is to collaborate with the Bureau and share the vision and experiences of the new inventions of Gombe state Due Process which is majorly on the development of the recent Digital Applications that will enhance procurement processes in Nigeria.

The Director-General, Gombe State Due Process, Engr. Mohammed Dauda Abubakar, during the interactive session, made a smart presentation of the already developed application; a website platform used by the state to share information on all contracts and projects execution of the state.

He made it known that, further innovative steps were taken to develop a Mobile App as well as generate a Dash Board to control both the website and the Mobile App, which includes an interactive section for easy assessment and linkage to view different projects across different states.

He reminded the DG BPP of the need to correct the wrong doings in the State Procurement Process by bringing in latest technology into the process and tiding up and starting on a clean slide as a new Due Process in Gombe State.

Dr. Adebowale said there is need for BPP at the national level to pay an advocacy visit to the Gombe State Governor, brief a joint session of the State Council and House of Assembly on the new Procurement Process and what the need to know on all Procurement Processes.

Dr. Adebowale also commended the DG of Gombe State Due Process for their creativity and innovation. He reiterated that, BPP is working on a portal of which a click will enable anyone to view all the happenings in the country. Adding that the laudable innovation done by the indigenous team of Gombe State could be adopted and put into effective use especially in the areas of Community Base Procurement, and for monitoring of projects across the federation, from the commencement to the completion.

BPP and Gombe State Due Process reaffirms their commitment to deepen collaboration for the enhancement of digital procurement in the country.
