FIC Report (Adamawa State) – Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment capable of attracting investors and driving economic growth across the state.
The Governor gave the assurance during the Nationwide Town Hall and State Engagement Tour organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, in partnership with the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms, SABER.
Stakeholders from government, the private sector, development organizations, and the business community gathered at the Adamawa State Government House in Yola to assess the state’s business environment and explore strategies for enhancing economic growth.
The Town Hall Meeting, organized by the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms, SABER, in collaboration with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, provided a platform for stakeholders to evaluate ongoing reforms, identify challenges, and strengthen partnerships aimed at improving the ease of doing business in the state.
Discussions focused on key indicators that influence investment decisions, including regulatory efficiency, access to justice, infrastructure development, tax administration, and public service delivery.
Declaring the session open on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Chief of Staff, Edgar Amos, said the administration remains committed to implementing policies and reforms that encourage enterprise development, attract investment, and create employment opportunities.
According to him, investments in critical infrastructure, security, digital transformation, and institutional reforms are designed to position Adamawa as a preferred destination for local and foreign investors.
The State Focal Person for SABER, Dr. Bello Abubakar Song, commended the state government for what he described as strategic investments and reforms that have improved the business climate in Adamawa.
He noted that the state has recorded progress in several reform indicators and expressed optimism that continued collaboration with PEBEC would further strengthen economic competitiveness.
Representatives of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council also praised the reforms being implemented by the state government, emphasizing the need to sustain efforts aimed at eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks and improving investor confidence.
The event featured panel discussions and technical presentations on commercial dispute resolution, access to justice, harmonization of taxes and levies, regulatory reforms, and strategies for improving the overall investment climate.
Participants described the engagement as an important step toward strengthening collaboration between government and the private sector, with a shared goal of building a more prosperous, competitive, and business-friendly Adamawa State.
