FIC Report (Kaduna State) – The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, represented by the Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Abubakar Buba, officially opened the 2024 Batch C Stream II orientation course at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Government College Kaduna.
The event marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the new corps members, who gathered with enthusiasm and a commitment to serve their country.
In his speech, Hon. Buba expressed immense joy in welcoming the corps members to Kaduna State, referring to it as the “Centre of Learning and a land of boundless opportunities.” He commended the young men and women for their readiness to answer the clarion call of service, emphasizing the importance of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a unifying initiative that has fostered national cohesion for over five decades.
He added that the NYSC is more than just a program; it is a transformative initiative that has united young Nigerians, breaking barriers of ethnicity, religion, and language.
He highlighted the role of the scheme in nurturing generations of leaders who are driving change across the nation, encouraging the new corps members to view themselves as symbols of hope and unity.
Hon. Buba noted that Kaduna State, with its rich cultural diversity, is proud to host the corps members. “Here, you will experience the beauty of our rich culture and the resilience of our people,” he said, assuring them that their time in the state would be both impactful and life-changing.
He urged them as the corps members embark on the three-week orientation course.
Also Buba reminded them that this experience is a gateway to leadership, discipline, and self-discovery.
He further said activities you will engage in are carefully designed to prepare you for the future. Embrace them wholeheartedly.
