FIC Report (Imo State) – Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma has extolled Imolites, South-easterners and Nigerians in general for their steadfastness and resilience in Nation building.

Governor Uzodinma made the commendation during the 62nd Independence Day Celebration at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Square (RANKS) in Owerri.

While speaking at the occasion, the Governor commended Nigerians for their zealousness these past 62 years in sustaining the unity of the Nation by living in different parts of the country to earn their livelihood despite various security threats and daunting economic challenges.

He further stated that one of the greatest post independence challenges has been achieving a detribalized Nation, noting that the people of Imo have been committed to the task.

The Governor urged other Governors and leaders to shun all divisional tendencies in politics for greater service to our nation.

He then called for a re-dedication of heart and might by all in the promotion and defense of our common interest over and above our self interest.
