Governor Yusuf Celebrates Police Academy Wudil For Largest Cadet Set Graduation

FIC Report (Kano State) – Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Saturday attended the passing-out ceremony of 1,187 cadets of the 7th Regular Course at the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano.

Governor Yusuf congratulated the students and their parents for this great milestone, noting that the 7th Regular Course was the largest set of cadets in the history of the academy.

The Governor commended the Commandant of the Police Academy Wudil, AIG Patrick Adedeji Atayero, for this particular historic achievement.

A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, said Governor Yusuf, who received President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness and the colorful nature of the occasion.

The President, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, said the present administration remained resolute in addressing the root causes of insecurity, in addition to promoting national stability in other sectors.

President Tinubu appreciated POLAC for its achievements and appealed to the graduated cadets to exhibit professionalism, discipline, and integrity in their careers in the force.

The occasion was attended by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, service chiefs, the representative of the Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other key stakeholders.

Meanwhile, shortly after the graduation ceremony, the representative of the President, Senator Akume paid homage to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf at Government House, Kano.
