Today, at the ongoing 43rd Session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Nigeria officially received confirmation to host the first-ever UNESCO Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Institute — a Category-2 Institute.
This historic achievement crowns a long and dedicated journey, and firmly positions Nigeria to be a global hub for research and innovation in Media and Information Literacy.
We are deeply grateful for the steadfast support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
This is a proud moment not just for Nigeria but also the entire African continent!
