FIC Report (Enugu State) – The Federal House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions has described the Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah as the pride of the South East and an epitome of good governance.
The Chairman of the committee Hon Chinedu Ogah who poured the encomiums when the committee paid a working visit to the governor at the government house, Enugu, sought Partnership with the state government for the relocation of the Correctional centre.
Our Government House Correspondent Fred Nnaji reports that the committee was in Enugu to inspect the site for the relocation of the Enugu prison facilities among other issues.
Hon Ogah while commending the governor for ending the non-existent Sit-at-home and other forms of insecurity that were hitherto crippling economic activities in the state, said the committee is pleased with the governor’s development trajectories.
He urged the governor to support the relocation of the correctional centre as well as the provision of vehicles that convey inmates to courts.
Responding, Dr Mbah who commended the Federal Government for approving the moving of the correctional centre out of the state metropolis, said the state government would assist in any form its assistance is needed.
